Move In With No Money

Don't want to spend the money? Don't want to buy new pieces? Try switching decor and pieces from one room to the next. In these photos, we flipped the living room & the guest room. We moved mirrors from one room & pillows and lamps from another room.

We started the day looking up ideas with the homeowner. Her and her husband had moved in a few months prior and furniture/odds/ends were just placed in random spaces. Not where she wanted them. She was determined to not spend money and just get some ideas on how she could start cleaning up their move in mess.

Step 2. RUN TO HER FAVORITE STORE FOR IDEAS

Disclaimer.... ok, let's be honest. She did leave with a few new pillows.

Step 3. Take out anything you don't want in the room.

Step 4. Start moving things around. You really don't know what

you'll like and where< until you start moving.

Step 5. Look around the house. Check out the other rooms.. See if there is anything you would want to add to the room you are working on. You just never know what you'll find or see in a different light.

We found a bag of pottery barn decor she had bought and forgot about! She already had the Cast Iron Candle holders in front of the fireplace, but she wanted to fill them. We were looking around and found battery operated candles and faux moss that she already had.

*By the end of the day, The guest room was missing a few pieces. She did end up ordering a painting off wayfair. It was under $100 dollars. By the end of the day she had only spent around: $120.

It wall depends on what you want to do, decorate and design in your home. You may want to spend $40 or spend no money at all. The choice is YOURS. It's YOUR space.
